Unified Communications Architect

Ram's Bio:

Ram is Unified Communications Architect for Unify2 Asia, based in New Delhi, India. Ram's responsibilities include business development, delivering customer projects and providing thought leadership on Microsoft Unified Communications & Collaborations platform and technology both internally and externally.

Ram is a Unified Communications (UC) trained and certified professional. Ram has been involved with Microsoft based Unified Communications since LCS 2005 days. Apart from UC based technologies, Ram has worked extensively on Directory services and Messaging products as well.

Prior to joining Unify2, Ram worked as a Unified Communications Manager for a large enterprise (IT Services provider) in India where he led a team responsible for the design and deployment of Unified Communications solutions for several tens of thousands of users

Prior to that, Ram worked with Microsoft as a Senior Unified Communications Support Engineer (Lync Server 2010 beta), and provided support to the global TAP (Technology Adoption Program) customers on Microsoft Lync Server 2010 around Lync Server 2010 beta deployment. Before joining the Lync Server 2010 Beta support team in June 2009, Ram provided support on LCS 2005, OCS 2007, OCS 2007 R2, Group Chat, Exchange UM (Unified Messaging) and range of other messaging products. Ram also worked as a KE (Knowledge Engineer) in Microsoft, where he was responsible for reviewing the internal and external solutions written by Microsoft Communications Server professionals. Ram also contributed toward the content build–up of global Microsoft Support website by writing many knowledge base articles during his tenure as a Knowledge Engineer.

During Ram's stint at Microsoft, he was awarded numerous prestigious awards including Architect of Excellence Awards (ACE) thrice, Gold Star Bonus and Great People Great Performance (GPGP) awards. Ram also received many recogntions as a Unified Communications trainer at Microsoft such as Yearly Trainer Recognition for FY09, Quarterly Trainer Recognition for FY09Q4, and Monthly Trainer Recogntitions for May 2009 and June 2009.
